It is wonderful to see that there are some that think the same as me, Kim you and I have talked, and for some reason we, both felt the spirit of God as we talked, I am a silent follower, but I know that in my field of being a phlebotomist of 26 yrs, a lot of strangers lives I have came upon. I had on many occasions would walk in on familys crying, or arguing. I had to sometimes listen to sad stories of loneliness with patients as well, I remember a elderly women was in the hospital for about 3 weeks, she had no family members come see her, every morning about 5am I came in and we would hug and she would want me to sit and talk with her. this one morning she stopped me as I came around the bed and said Ruthie do you see that light in the corner, and I said no sweetie the TV is there. She said no its really big and all kinds of color.. I just went with the flow and said ok honey, and went on doing my job as we spoke, she said Ruthie thankyou for listening to me, and being very kind to her, I said no problem I am there to make you as comfortable as possible all of us here are.. I hugged her and walked out of the room, 25 minutes later a CODE BLUE was called,then the room number 102 bed 2 ... It was my patient I FLEW down the hall to the code as I needed to be there on all codes. She already expired and had asked for no work to revive on her chart. she was 85... I often think was this Gods way for her to have a moment with me on her last mins of life, was it that little one day conversation that made her happy everyday.. I was honored to have been with her 25 mins and listening to her seeing the light, and I thank God for allowing me to also be there... I just wanted to share that no matter how small it may seem we all meet for a reason.. you just dont always know. WHY Ruth Blow
