Encourage. Empower. Extend. was a desire I had in my heart for encouraging and inspiring women in their faith. This world places so much pressure on us to be perfect, busy people that it's time to get back to the basics. I want to help women remember who they are, what they are supposed to be--not by the world's standards, but by God's.

“Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.”
This quote pretty much sums up my philosophy on life. We have such a short time here on earth that it seems a tragedy not to laugh at life and more so at yourself from time to time! Love is what we are called to do and there is only one way to do it right, through Christ! My life is as unconventional as they come. Why, you might ask? Well, because I am like a round peg trying to fit into a square hole. I simply don’t fit the mold of what one might call “normal.” Funny thing is, I embrace it and love who I am and Whose I am! Let me explain. Number one, I was adopted from Saigon, Vietnam when I was 18 months old. I was found begging on the streets and taken to an orphanage until I was blessed with a home. My adoptive parents are an Englishman from Liverpool, England and an Irishman from Boston, Massachusetts. My siblings were also adopted. My brother is Caucasian, my sister is full Vietnamese and I am half Vietnamese. We were raised on fried chicken, English tea, fried clams from Boston and Crunchy candy bars from England. Need I say more?
After high school, I spent 6 years in the Army as a dental hygienist. My circumstances in life left me being married three times. Unfortunately, my first marriage ended in divorce and I was widowed with my second marriage. However, I am now happily re-married to an incredible Army Officer and we have 4 children. We are a proud military family committed to our call and enjoying every minute of it! I was born with a need to express myself through creative outlets such as writing, photography, cooking, speaking and teaching. Coffee and chocolate are essential for this brown eyed, vivacious gal- LOTS of it! Life doesn’t get much better for me than that! I'm all about enjoying the journey, passionately loving others, embracing the ups and downs and knowing where my end destination will be. When your identity and security is in Christ then there is nothing to fear. Without hope you have nothing and without love, God’s love, it’s impossible to be fulfilled. I have them both and I would dare say that life for me is complete. Live your life with no regrets, keep persevering no matter what and keep that smile on your face because it is contagious!
